I got a call earlier in the week…(last week)…and was asked to take pics of the Ward Siesta.**
“Hi, Brandy. I was wondering if you would like to take pics of the ward party Saturday? We are having a Mexican Siesta(**I truly believe she meant Fiesta…because I don’t usually sleep at parties. But hey I am always up for something new!) And I notice you ALWAYS have your camera taking pics at ward activities”
“Sure, I’d love to take pics!” (I would have whether they had asked or not.
That’s just me!
It was a lot of fun! As we walked into the church the lights were down and the halls were lined with Luminaries…it reminded me so much of home and seeing them lit down Main St.in front of Uncle Joe and Aunt Karen’s and lighting them around dad’s grave site.
They had live Mariachi, Wonderful Mexican dishes, chips and salsa, fun story telling and what Fiesta would be complete without Piñata! They had one for the little kids, one for the girls and one for the boys.

Sage crashed right after dinner so she missed out on the stories and piñata…
Enchiladas and Taco Salad…at least I think that’s what it was.
Bishop Dalton sharing a Christmas story about Poinsettias…

Each of the children got a candy cane and an ornament!

Pinatas are fun for everyone! The kids loved taking their turns and then running for the candy!
The younger kids weren’t able to break their’s open so one of the young men got to swing away!
