Ooops…forgot about one thing… April 29, 2009

On April 4th we finally took the kids to Out of Africa over in Camp Verde. It was a fun day and the kids loved it!

Riding the tram to the Snake Show and the Tiger Splash…

I love that my kids aren’t afraid of snakes! They loved going in and touching them and walking around looking at them!

Here’s my bunch waiting for the Tiger Splash to start! It was windy so they were staying in the sun to keep warm.

Gross story alert…We were sitting above the Tiger Splash area, eating our lunch and I noticed a lady standing by the Tiger fence. She was following it as walked back and forth. She was taking pictures. The tiger then turned around, tail facing the fence. Then the lady jumped away and the tiger sprayed PEE EVERYWHERE! Ugh…so when the kids were down there by the fence we were keeping a close eye on the tiger and when it came to close we made them come back and sit with us.

We went on a mini safari…the kids got to feed the giraffes! That was really cool!

There were a couple guys that kept feeding them with their mouths…bleh! But it made for fun pics!

So that was April for us! Tomorrow we are headed to Round Valley for a long over due visit!

Pack Meeting ~ I went on a hike… April 29, 2009

and on that hike I took…a tent, a pizza, a teddy bear, water, a sleeping bag, jewelry, a wolf, a bear, cookies, Brick’s underwear, a TV, a quad, a jeep, a bowling alley, shoes, dead people, every video game system available AND my family!
 
In January there was a Winterfest in Flagstaff. All the boys that attended received a patch!

So we had a small turnout for pack meeting this time but the boys had a good time playing “Animal Tag” and I went on a hike and took…and singing songs and receiving their patches! And of course eating watermelon too!

I didn’t take many pics…pretty shocking huh! LOL!

Ashlyn bought a paint your own tea set… April 29, 2009

Then they went to town painting them! The girls had lots of fun painting! I never buy paint sets so they were really excited and really enjoyed it! Ashlyn painted smiley faces and rainbows! Sage painted lots of colors!

And I got some Polaroids of them too…first time using the flash…they turned out pretty good!

All done!  Of course…later on when the boys got home they got painted again and again…so they look different now than they do in this pic. LOL!

Ward Easter Party April 29, 2009

On the 11th we had a Ward Easter Party! We were supposed to go to Fain Park and have an egg hunt and I was supposed to take family pics. But the weather didn’t cooperate and we had to go to the church. The party was still lots of fun!

The kids got to color pretty spring pictures! Although my boys apparently thought WarCraft pics were much cooler…I didn’t get pics of that though. :/ LOL!

Then all the kids decorated Easter bags!

Then they ran around the church searching for eggs! Chaz went around with the girls helping them.

And of course he gets to share in the spoils! lol

While they were waiting to egg hunt the kids listened to a story.

I have been a major slacker!!! April 29, 2009

So here is what we have been up to this month!!

The kids had a great time decorating eggs for Easter! If they wouldn’t go to waste I would boil up several dozen so they could color to their hearts content! But egg salad sandwiches and boiled eggs can get old fast!

 

The Easter Bunny left some fun stuff for them!

They had a great time making cupcakes! Each of them got to put in some ingredients and mixing!

And decorated them too!

After they were done and decorated we took the extras over to the neighbors!

This song was a Rhapsody Exclusive…I really hate when they give extras depending on where you buy. But of course I always track down all the songs I can of the artists I love! Call me obsessed…I can handle it! And this song should have been available everywhere!! I love it!

Sage curled up with a flashlight…in our bed, again. She just refuses to let her sister go to sleep at night. So she is still being put to bed in our room, for now.

Easter Party! April 11, 2009

Seth’s class had an Easter Party on Thursday! The girls and I went to help out and join in the fun!

They had an egg hunt…each time they found an egg it had a math problem or a spelling word in it. When they got the answer right they got their candy.

After the egg hunt they went in and did crafts! They decorated eggs and made egg holders. And they each got to decorate their own cake!

Sage has made a good friend with this little girl! every time we go into the class she sits with her!
